In a world where werewolves, shamans, vampires, and witches might all be out to get you or save you Briggs manages to meld them all together wonderfully. Everyone can be a hero or villain even if you're a submissive. While I really wouldn't want to live in a universe with craziness around all corners I'm happy to read about it and I'll definitely read about it again next time she puts one out.
