Canavan, Trudi

Trudi Canavan has one trilogy finished and one series just started. The first one is the Dark Magician Trilogy. A poverty stricken girl lives in the city. On the day of cleansing (driving the poor from the city) she wishes with all her might that she could hit a magician. She throws a rock and it sails through the magical shields and hit it's mark. With this strike she changes everything. Only the houses have magic yet this girl has it too. Read the trilogy to find out what reprocussions this little stone has. The series is called age of the five. She has the first one out. It's The Priestess of the White. I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet but as soon as I do you'll know.
