Happy Easter
I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter holiday. I'm sure we all know the story of Jesus and raising and etc. I kind of wonder though. What's with the eggs and bunny's? Two possible stories.
1- the Hare club for men. This is the fun theory from south park. It says that Jesus made a bunny Pope. They put the eggs out as a symbol of the injustice of having a human in the seat.
2 - The more realistic option is that the church Incorporated these holidays in order to convert Pagans who celebrate Ostara relative close to this which celebrates fertility. Bunny's are very fertile and you don't get babies without eggs.
Sorry I missed a post Saturday. I've been very busy lately and am kind of treading water to get it all done.
Game Review
Puzzle Quest: This is a DS game. It has one down side. You each have to have the game in order to play other people. Bonus Highly addictive and really fun. It's combines the idea of quests and role playing with puzzles. I already have problems resisting puzzle game so this one just drove me gaga. I've been playing it between commercials on TV, while talking with grandparents, and while washing laundry. Plus it's ds so it's highly portable.

Also it is a story told in one of the Eastern churchs that someone heard of the resurection when eating dinner and say that he would believe that the eggs on the table were red before he belived it, and then the eggs turned red.
Also up to the middle ages people thought that rabbits just grew out of the ground, making them a good symbol of the empty tomb (life coming out of the ground and all.)
But I agree Easter eggs and bunnies most likey come from the fact that they were already seen as symbols of life and the renewal of spring time by the peoples of northern Europe and as such combined with the message of Easter and made the celerbration more familuar to people who converted to Christianity from there.
