Paolini, Christopher

Christopher Paolini put out Eragon when he was 15 years old. It was roughly 1000 pages and his parents drove him around the country selling it out of the back of their van. After a few years Random House got their hands on it. Edited it down to a more reasonable 500 pages and sold it as a teen fiction book. However this series has most of the age appeal that Harry Potter has and young and old alike read it. It's a trilogy and so far 2 of the books are out. It's the story of a young boy who find a dragon egg. Takes care of it and one day it hatches. People have long thought all the dragons were extinct so he hides. Good thing to cause the evil king wants nothing to do with more dragons. This trilogy is very tolkenesk. Read it you'll love it. I believe there is a movie coming out as well. The first book is Eragon the second is Eldest. Have fun.
