Snicket, Lemony

Lemony Snicket, while being a completely fake name, should be familiar to lots of people. He writes a kids series. It's called a Series of Unfortunate Events. It's about three rice kids who's parents pass on and they get stuck with an evil uncle. Basically it is about a Series of Unfortunate Events. There are 13 books in the series. It's fun but I'm not sure about how old a kid should be before reading it. I have a theory that kids like them so much cause they aren't sugar coated like most kids books. I say pass on the movie though. It combined the first three books and instead of following the book order it jumbled things all up. I don't really know why they did that. So kids or people who just like a light fun read go for it.
