Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich. Mystery (has lots of scifi stuff in it though). Pages 166. Part of the Stephanie Plum Series. Stephanie's grandma finds a big bag and then disappears. When Stephanie finds her she's got a leprechaun and Diesel. It only gets more interesting when the mob becomes involved and Grandma goes missing again. I like Evanovich's short books. They're fun.

Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs. Science Fiction. Pages 287. Series 3rd book. Mercy Thompson is a mechanic/walker. The policy with vampires used to be that they killed all walkers they came across. Now there are very few walkers around. Walkers are Native Americans who can turn into coyotes and have a bit of resistance to magic. Mercy never does know how to stay out of trouble so when a friend calls in a debt she runs off to help the fae. Soon her friend is in jail and she's getting chased by faery that want her dead because she just knows to much. Funny thing is the humans that are so harmless might just be the biggest problem out there.

The Devil's Right Hand by Lilith Saintcrow. Science Fiction. Pages 382. Series book number 3. I like Dante. She's a kick butt bounty hunter/necromancer. In the beginning book she was human. Now she's not. The only person who really knows what she is happens to be an ex-demon. However, he isn't telling anyone what he knows. Problem is he is also her lover. Can she trust him. Hopefully she'll find out soon. Problem with this book is that it doesn't really end. Good thing is that book four and book five are already out.

The Unnatural Inquirer by Simon R. Green. SciFi. Pages 246. This is the eighth book in the NightSide series. It's the first one in hard cover. I love this series. The main character is a P.I. with special abilities to find anything. However sometimes his special abilities get shut down. When looking for a dvd from either heaven or hell his powers are shut down and he goes on the hunt. Follow him while he meets characters such as the collector, the cardinal, and the removal man. I love the nightside.
