Up in smoke by Katie MacAlister

Up in smoke by Katie MacAlister. Romance. This is part of the silver dragon series which in turn is a continuation of the green dragon series. Mayling is a demon lords consort and a dragons mate. Of course she is consort in name a lone. She is also a dragon shard. They working very hard to change that. Feeling like she's losing herself but getting closer to her mate, Gabriel, is very confusing and difficult for May. Now they just have to travers the hell relm and rescue some untrustworthy dragons to save her soul. All in a days work.

I do have to say that I don't like how she ends these. Always in the middle of things. I'm not a fan of the cliff hanger.

Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs

Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs. SciFi. Book in Mercy Thompson series. I love this character. She practices martial arts, works as a mechanic, and is a were coyote/skinwalker. She's dating an alpha werewolf and friends with not only fae but vampires. Only some of the vampires are well evil. After one of her friendly vampires is tortured and dropped in her apt she decides it might be a good time to take time to see an old friend. Too bad that friend was involved with the monster (a truely evil vampire).

I can't wait to see this author tonight. It's going to be fun. :)

Coraline the movie

Coraline the movie is a Gaiman and Burton combination. The two together were amazing. I loved the show. Coraline is a kid who has just moved into a new house. Her parents are distracted and money is tight. She discovers a door to another world like her own but better. Or so it appears. These two have really combined the morals of things frequently aren't as good as they appear and be patient and appreciate what you have. I'm not sure that it's a really good idea for young young kids but I would let a 3rd or 4th grader see it.

I did see this in 3D. I loved the story and the 3D was done well but it made me feel sick. I'm not overly fond of 3D. It took a few hours for me to recover from the experience.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling

The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling. Kids. 101 Pages. I enjoyed this book while I was at work. It was fun to read and easy to enjoy in short bursts. It isn't a Harry Potter book but it is in the Wizardry universe that Rowling invented. This is in, I believe, book six. Harry finds it inside one of his other books. After each story there is a short review by Dumbledore. It was fun and something that I would read to my kids provided I had any.
