From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris. Science Fiction. Pages 359. I love Sookie and I'm always thrilled to read books about her. I was not disappointed. Sookie is all entangled in everything yet again. Reading minds apparently does that to a person. The were's are fighting again. The vamp's are fighting again. Her brother is a schmuck. On top of all that natural disasters have really been piling up and things are getting difficult. I gobbled this one up and I can't wait for another. :)

Personal Demon by Kelley Armstrong. Science Fiction. Pgs 371. I like this author and I enjoyed this book. I don't think it's the best book she's ever written though. Hope is a reported and is in debt to the cortez clan. It's a small debt but one she fully plans on paying back. When they approach her and ask her to go under cover in a gang of supernaturals she takes it. She always believed that she could handle it by herself. Unfortunately she is wrong. Luckily there are others who care for her more then she can imagine.

Prom Nights From Hell - Anthology. Pages 304. Teen. Over all I liked the book. There wasn't anything I didn't like but a few I didn't love.

Meg Cabot - the Exterminator's daughter - Mary's mother was kidnapped by a vampire and turned into one of them. Now the only way to get her back is to slay the head of the vampire clan. Unfortunately Dracula is in hiding and she hasn't been able to find him. Lucky for her Drake just showed up on the scene. If she kills Dracula's son he might come after her. Adam finds out about Mary's second life and decides to help. He'll kill vampires why not if it means spending time with Mary.

Lauren Myracle - The corsage - Frankie, Yun Sun, and Will are great friends. Frankie is in love with Will though and really wants him to take her to the prom. So she drags the three of them down to a psychic to try to get through to will that she wants him. However the psychic is all trees in the woods and be careful of high places. That is until Frankie sees the corsage that grats wishes. She talks the psychic into giving it to her and runs off. The psychic warns her not to use it but she's a teenager.

Kim Harrison - Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper - Madison went to the prom with Josh but the jerk tells her she's a B and that she's a pity date and goes for the punch bowl. It's just as well she didn't want to come to this stupid thing anyway. She'll just walk home. That is until she walks into Seth's chest. Oh he is dreamie. She calls her dad and lets him know she's getting a ride home. Unfortunately he kills her. Yep dead right from go. Fortunately that isn't where the story ends. :)

Michele Jaffe - Kiss and Tell - Miranda has super powers. She also drives a car service and races on a derby team. Tonight she's picking up a client. Sibby turns out to be that client. She's dressed like 80's Madonna and really only wants to get boys to kiss her. When Miranda drops her off weird things are going down though and she rescues her moments later. Now they're on the run and a guy she has a super crush on just happens to be chasing them.

Stephenie Meyer - Hell on Earth - Sheba's a lesser demon sent to high schools to make life tough. She's recently graduated from middle school duty and dreamed of being set up as a murder demon. Enter Gabe, He's a half angle and doesn't know it. But oh does he love making people happy. Sheba's made most of the prom miserable but really is that very hard. Unfortunately Sheba doesn't know what's going to hit her.

Becca is trying to get free from Satan so when she finds Nick it's perfect to use him to find a way free of Satan. When Nick finds Becca it's perfect because in order to save his sister he needs to kill Satan. Oh the troubled webs we weave.

Freefall by Laura Anne Gilman. Pages 345. Science Fiction. Wren is the one no one sees. She likes it that way too. It makes her job as a retriever so much easier. Unfortunately she's tricked. She takes a job that is a trap and well I'm not telling you that part. It does lead to her deciding that the cosa need to take action against the silence. She will take them down. Even if it kills her.

Your Coffin or Mine? by Kimberly Raye. Pages 306. Romance. Lil owns a dating service. It's a completely contrary thing for a vampire to do but she likes it. Oh Lil is a born vampire. She's fallen madly in love with a made vampire which is very taboo since they can't have little vampires. Her mom is really obsessed with hearing the pitter patter of little feet. Her brother fell madly in love with a human and is getting married and Lil's mom is going nuts. Going so far as to hire Lil to break them up. Oh and while that is going on her man gets kidnapped and no one knows where to find him.

Embrace the night by Karen Chance. Pages 378. Cassandra can't trust anyone anymore. She's all on her own and she's got to break this stupid curse that got doubled by accident. She's being hunted by mages, lied to by another mage, and a bunch of kids are depending on her for protection. How she's going to live through this one is beyond her. Luckily it isn't beyond the vampires.
