Forbidden nights with a vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks

Ok, so these are starting to get a bit formula and I might deem it necessary to take a break from them soon but they are so good when I just need something fun that doesn't make me think to hard about the world and the crap storm it is. I still just enjoy grabbing one and hunkering down with a good mocha to read. When the world is to crazy and I just wanna think mmmm yay these are the books I fall back on. Yes there is hot vampire adult content.

Friday Night Bites

This one picks up from Some Girls Bite like a day hadn't passed so don't try to read it on it's own. Seriously fun vampire shenanigans. This series is very light on the hot and heavy so read for fun not for "fun". The only complaint I have about this author is that she sometimes waits a paragraph or two before announcing who she's talking too. Bill claims she's trying to create suspense. If she is it doesn't work for me but it doesn't take away from the story either.

The Calling by Kelley Armstrong

I said I was looking forward to this book and I wasn't disappointed. Even though the last one had a huge cliff hanger it was easy to pick this one up and keep going. Now I'm really eager to see what is happening with the next one. Yeah, I know, I keep saying that but with this one I'm really looking forward to it. I've been waiting for the book that combines these series since I started the 4th book which picks up with a group different from book 1-3. To think I have to wait til next year or four years from now is daunting.

A Perfect Blood by Harrison

Kim Harrison is bringing the Dead Witch Walking series to an end and it feels right. I'm going to miss that twitchy witch/demon but I'm glad she's not going to ride it into the ground. I'm looking forward to the next few books that'll wrap it up because I'm pretty sure that Morgan may get her happy ending.

Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill

Yay, fun book. I really enjoyed and wish I'd gotten around to it sooner. The female lead kicks butt with the help of her friends. The fact that she kicks butt is a statistical anomaly but she's just as confused by it as everyone else is so it works. If you just want to relax and enjoy for a bit pick this up. You'll be hooked.
