Megamind - Movie

Both my husband and I laughed at this one. It may have been aimed at kids but it has a lot of adult humor as well. Like the Shrek movies you can enjoy it no matter how old you are. I'd definitely watch this blue man dance across the screen again.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter the Laughing Corpse v3. Still going strong. You can see the beginning of the end of some of Anita's friendships in the facial expressions. It doesn't feel old. I've already read this book twice and I'm still enjoying reading the comic books.

Counterfeit Magic by Kelley Armstrong

Counterfeit Magic by Kelley Armstrong. Nook Book. I love reading her otherworld series. This is one of the books printed by subterranean press so it's not easy to get your hands on a hard copy. Luckily you can get it on e-copy.

This book was fast paced and exciting. I love how they novellas give you a snap shot into the characters lives we wouldn't normally see.

On another note Kelley Armstrong is signing in April at the Barnes and Noble in Ann Arbor.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter the Laughing Corpse v2. Enjoyed this one too. I can imagine that they'll continue to be good until sometime after obsidian butterfly. I wonder if they'll get that far. Hope they will. Very interested in seeing how they'll handle after Anita goes x rated. Also Anita is starting to lose that innocent look she had in the first graphic novels. It's good.

Beyond the Night by Joss Ware (aka Colleen Gleason). Romance. Post apocalyptic zombie romance. No you didn't misread that. Dread (nickname) is knocked unconscious with his friends and wakes up 50 years later to a whole new world with a crazy new civilization. More than just California has fallen into the sea. Not only has the world changed but they've changed too. More than one person has special powers. It was surprisingly fun to read.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter the Laughing Corpse v1. Very violent but without the sex of the later novels. The human eating zombie is on the lose and Anita is the only one out there protecting humans within the confines of the law. It's getting harder on her trying to keep her personal life from going nuts and making her commit illegal activities.

Septimus Heap book one Magyk by Angie Sage. This is a great YA title. I got it on my nook on a free book friday. I want to buy the rest of them now. Which is what they're hoping for when they give you the first one. Honestly I'm glad I read it and I look forward to reading more of them. There is some violence but nothing that the kids I know can't handle. Basically a bad wizard tried to take over the city and the good Wizards fight him. For a bit it looks like the bad wizard might win. The political side of the city was taken over years ago when the current leader killed the Queen. The princess has been in hiding for years and the bad wizard wants to kill her. Political intrigue, magic, and a swamp with creatures in it. It has everything.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter the First Death. This one actually goes before the others I'd posted. It isn't actually in any of Hamilton's books. It's a stand alone graphic novel. I still like reading about old Anita. I wish one day she'd go back. I know she thinks that she's making a lot more money by adding the sex but I know so many people who no longer read the books because of the sex. Well this one doesn't have any of the sex. Enjoy
