Midnight Blue-Light Special (an Incryptid Novel) by Seanan McGuire

I love the Incryptid novels and hope that Seanan is already writing more for me to consume as soon as they come out. I need to know what happens next in the ever continuing saga of ballroom dancing and combat with a twist of love.

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Beautiful Creatures is a great book for teenage girls. The drama level is high and the plot is Romeo and Juliet with a few name changes and the addition of magic. I managed to finish it but as a 34 year old I'm kind of over Romeo and Juliet. I may continue reading because it can't possibly continue to be teenage kids being annoying to their guardians.

Doppelgangster (esther Diamond #2) by Laura Resnick

This story had a great play on words that made me really wish I could find book one of this series. It also took me a bit longer to read because I didn't want to miss any nuances. So while I laughed almost none stop I wouldn't pick it up for a light read.

The Atrocity Archives (Laundry Files) by Charles Stross

I hadn't planned on reading this series until I sat in on several panels and a reading with this author. I so enjoyed his wit that I went to almost anything that had his name on it (at confusion 2013). It probably looked like I was stalking him when he showed up at my job the day after the con was over. Good thing I was working the cash register lol. Now that I've started reading them I've been recommending them left and right. I know you'll see more of his books reviewed by me.

Legacy (Anna Strong #4) by Jeanne C. Stein

I love Anna Strong as a strong female character who enjoys herself and her body. The world around her may conspire to screw with her but she keeps her eyes on the prize. She is always very concerned for her friends and family and would do anything in her power to prevent any harm from coming to them.
