Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich

Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich. Mystery. Part of the Stephanie Plum series. Diesel is the main man in this book. He's a unmentionable (someone with extra human powers) who hunts down other unmentionables that have gone out of control. In this case she's hunting down a scientist names Munch who's gone on the run after stealing some equipment from work and hitting his boss in the face with a coffee cup. Diesel is hunting down Wulf who happens to be hanging out with Munch. Wulf is a dangerous man who happens to be related to Diesel. The case mostly takes place in the backwoods of Jersy. Lula is lost and Stephanie is stuck with a monkey. It was a nice bit of humor in a humorless week.

The Watchmen - Movie

The Watchmen is a rated R movie.
Basically you have a bunch of superhero's who are mostly retired because of a law that Nixson puts into effect in his like 8th term. We won the vietnam war. Term limits were abolished. The world is falling apart and going straight to hell. Some of the superhero's decide to fix things in their own ways. I think I'll have to watch it a lot more once it comes out on video to understand all the symbolism. One of the people I saw it with said that he thinks this is one of the few movies that wouldn't be hurt by being made into a mini series on the scifi channel. I think it was an ok film. I don't regret paying for it but I'm not rushing out to see it again. There is a lot of unnecessary full frontal male nudity. The term Big blue limp donkey dick comes to mind a lot. There is also a lot of violence. I'm not usually against violence but I don't particularly need to see it in a lot of detail.

The Bleeding Dusk by Colleen Gleason

The Bleeding Dusk by Colleen Gleason. Romance. (Author is local to MI). Third book in the Gardella Vampire Chronicles. Victoria is in charge of the vampire hunters. She's a girl stuck in a male dominant world. Dressing like a man trying to get around in the world Victoria is very unhappy when her Mother shows up in Rome for carnival. She has to make nice and play her role as widow of the house and try to sneak out to fulfill her normal roles. It was very annoying for her. The author was very good at communicating the main characters feelings. Unfortunetly, in this case, I think she was a little to good at it. I'm hopeful for the next book. The ending of this one left me eager to read the next one.
