Mr Monster by Dan Wells is incredibly insightful into the mind of a serial killer. I find his books interesting and I looked forward to every moment I got to listen to it.

Kiss the Dead by Laurell K. Hamilton

Kiss the Dead by Laurell k. Hamilton was well written but seemed to be lacking much of a story. I'm not sure how this advanced the story. However, I still enjoyed it. Yes, I still plan on reading the next one.
