Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck

Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck. Teen Novel. Couldn't finish this book. Everything was broadcast so loudly that there were no surprises. The first chapter gives away the end. Also I don't care what's in her closet. So he bought her clothes you can stop there. I don't need to know what color each other the t-shirts are. This could have been a good book with a better Edit. The idea was there but there was just to much detail to little action.

Short Story Saturday

When the Yogurt Took Over by Scalzi. I enjoyed this story. I look forward to reading more of his short fiction. I hope my husband loads more on my nook soon. Basically we create a intelligent and self aware yogurt who goes about taking over the world.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Guilty Pleasures v2 Graphic Novel

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Guilty Pleasures v2. Graphic Novel. It's fun to revisit the old Anita. Again I'm curious if they'll be able to finish the series or if it'll get to graphic to continue. I'm looking forward to the rest of the Graphic Novels in this series. I had put them off because I didn't really think I'd want to revisit the story again. I was wrong.

Gnomio and Juliet - G Movie

Gnomio and Juliet - G Movie. Not a bad movie, Not a good movie. There were good one liners. There were good scenes. It just didn't connect well. The cut scenes were so so when they were there. If I had kids I'd take them to see it but they wouldn't get half of it. If they fell in love with it it wouldn't drive me nuts to watch it over and over again at home.

Clash of the Geeks

Clash of the Geeks - Edited by Scalzi. Short stories from a contest all based on a picture of Salzi Orc, Wil Wheaton, and a unicorn pegasus kitty. They were lots of fun. I definitely see why my story didn't make it in. These were just awesome. And remember when everything comes up happy Rocks can always fall and everyone can still die.

Short Story Saturday

Twas the Night Before Solstice by Kim Harrison. I enjoyed this short story. It took me back to the old days in the hollows before, well I can't give to much away. If you've read Kim Harrison's Hollows series you'll like. It's short but sweet.

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Guilty Pleasures v1

Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Guilty Pleasures v1. This was a quick read. I had fun revisiting these novels in Graphic Novel format. I'm curious how far they'll be able to take them before they're considered to pornographic. Some of the pictures were different than I'd expect them to be. Anita was more timid than I remember her being. Edward was leaner than I thought he'd be. But over all good.

Sorcerer's Apprentice - Movie

Sorcerer's Apprentice - Movie. PG. I was surprised by how good this movie actually was. I had hoped for some good action and some fun graphics and I wasn't disappointed. I hope that Disney can keep from making a sequel though. I feel it came to a satisfactory conclusion. Based on one thing at the end though I know Disney left an opening for a sequel which I would of course get on netflix once it came out.

Cross Your Heart by Michele Bardsley

Cross Your Heart by Michele Bardsley. I enjoyed this book. It had vampires, were-cats, demons, and ghosts. There are even a few humans in there. Yeah it is just a bit of brain candy but it was tasty brain candy. I look forward to the next one.

Happy Valentines Day

Short Story Saturday

The Haunting of Jig's Ear by Jim C. Hines. Jig is a funny little goblin you can read more about in this authors first 3 books. He is one of the smartest goblins. He gets himself into trouble trying to avoid the other goblins. He finds a wand that is holding the ghost of a wizard. She's a very dangerous ghost. Read and you will laugh.

Zoo City by Lauren Beukes

Zoo City by Lauren Beukes - Read on Nook - I really liked this book. I enjoyed the main character. I had fun with the animals. It was a bit choppy at chapter beginnings. I think that was a cultural thing since the author isn't from US. I'd read another book from her. Specially if it has a sloth.
